Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the LedgerPush desktop application (“LedgerPush”, “we”, “us”) handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. LedgerPush is provided by A.L. Mohammed Rameez Raja, Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. Contact: ledgerpush.admin@gmail.com.
1. The short version
- LedgerPush runs on your own Windows computer. Your business records (bills, vouchers, bank and cash entries, settings) are stored on that computer, not on our servers.
- If you connect Google, LedgerPush only reads the Google Sheets you link, keeps what it reads on your computer, and never sends your Google data to us or to any AI service.
- Bill and bank-statement images you choose to have read automatically are sent to Google’s Gemini AI service through our relay server so the details can be extracted. We do not store their content.
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
2. Information stored on your computer
Everything you enter or import into LedgerPush — companies, ledgers, bills and bill images, vouchers, bank and cash entries, rules and settings — is saved in LedgerPush’s own folder on your computer. This includes the sign-in token for any Google account you connect and the app password for any email account you connect. This information stays on your computer unless you move or delete it yourself. We do not have access to it.
LedgerPush talks to TallyPrime on the same computer (or on your own local network) to read your ledger list and post vouchers. That connection never leaves your premises.
If you use Mobile Bill Capture, your phone sends bill photos directly to LedgerPush on your computer over your own Wi-Fi network.
3. Google user data
LedgerPush uses Google access only for the Google Sheets cash book import, and only if you click Sign in with Google in Settings. It requests the following, and nothing more:
- Basic account information (your email address) — used only to show which Google account is connected.
- Read-only access to Google Sheets (
spreadsheets.readonly) — used only to read the cash book spreadsheet(s) whose link you give LedgerPush. LedgerPush cannot create, edit or delete any of your Google files.
How we use it
LedgerPush reads the rows of the spreadsheet you link (date, type, particulars, amounts and similar cash book columns), shows them to you for review, and — when you choose to — posts them as entries in your TallyPrime. The data read from Google Sheets is stored only on your computer.
What we never do with Google user data
- We do not send it to our servers or store it anywhere other than your computer.
- We do not share, sell or transfer it to anyone.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
- We do not send it to any AI or machine-learning service, and it is never used to train AI models.
- No person at LedgerPush reads it.
Limited Use
LedgerPush’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can disconnect Google at any time from LedgerPush’s Settings → Google Sheets → Disconnect, which deletes the stored sign-in from your computer. You can also remove LedgerPush’s access from your Google Account permissions page. Cash book entries already imported stay in LedgerPush and Tally until you delete them.
4. Information that leaves your computer
Automatic reading of bills and statements (AI)
When you ask LedgerPush to read a bill, invoice or bank statement automatically, that image or document is sent securely through our relay server to Google’s Gemini API, which returns the extracted details (supplier, dates, amounts, GST and so on). Bank alert email text may also be sent this way when LedgerPush cannot read an alert on its own. Our relay does not store the content; it keeps a short usage record (your license key, the time, whether the request succeeded, and the requesting IP address) for billing and abuse prevention. Google processes this content under its Gemini API terms. Google Sheets data is never sent for AI reading.
Email accounts
If you connect an email account, LedgerPush logs in from your computer using an app password you create, and reads only the emails that match the sync rules you set (for example, transaction alerts from your bank). Emails are read and stored on your computer.
License and updates
Each time LedgerPush starts it checks your subscription with our license server. That check sends your license key and the app version, and our server records the license key, the time and the IP address. We also hold the name and contact details you give us when you subscribe. This is used only to manage your subscription and provide updates.
5. How long we keep information
Information stored on your computer is kept until you delete it or uninstall LedgerPush. On our side, license and usage records are kept for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal purposes.
6. Security
Connections to Google and to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Because your records live on your computer, keeping that computer secure — a Windows login password, up-to-date software and regular backups — is an important part of protecting your data.
7. Children
LedgerPush is a business accounting tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you (your subscription details and license records), and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing ledgerpush.admin@gmail.com.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how LedgerPush handles your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
